Making our own comics in our after school art class last week...I gave the kids blank storyboards..and blank voice bubbles. Here are some of their creations. Special thanks to our Guest Artist, James Li..creator of James of Late and WonderHam...!

BUST CRAFTACULAR

We had a great time once again at the BUST Craftacular yesterday. Thank you to everyone that came out to see us! I shared the booth with my good friends Studio Roxas..great music..good beer...and lots of holiday cheer!

I debuted two new Happy Sugar products...Art Boxes and Sugar Birdie Puppets..that will be in the Etsy shop this week.

Canned Food Art

This weekend we visited the Canstruction Exhibition at the World Financial Center..a contest to build sculptures made from canned food ! The canned goods will be donated to families in need for Thanksgiving. You can read more about it here.

Wendy Gardner, creator of the Naughty Naughty Pets, has sold her plush toys worldwide. Based on her characters, she has created children’s books, an animated series on the Cartoon Network, licensed merchandise, and, currently in the works, a musical. She lives in Tribeca with her husband, with whom she has two kids and two cats. She’s also developing a new line of plush toys called Happy Sugar.

This week I was interviewed by CBS News for a piece about making holiday gifts for cheap. I was filmed sewing my Shirt Bears..Teddy Bears made from my husband's shirts!!
It was supposed to air today on the CBS local news here in New York..and all the affiliates.BUT I think I was bumped by the Hurricane story..so hopefully it will air tomorrow.

I just got back from Las Vegas where I spotted these guys in "The Worlds Largest Gift Store". I guess thats's where Vicious French Bulldog learned to play poker!

NEW OFFICE!

I've moved into my new office!! It doesn't look like much yet but stay tuned! I hope I can keep my desks nice and clear like this.
